HTML vs. XHTML for OmniHelp

Why would you choose XHTML rather than the default HTML for OmniHelp? The user's guide explains how but not what the advantages are.

HTML or XHTML?

There aren't really compelling reasons either way; it's usually a matter of personal preference and company policy. It used to be some browsers (like IE) would not display XHTML as well as HTML, but those days are pretty much over.
