My Framemaker book consists of three chapter files with a few cross references between the files. All cross references work ok in Frame and in the generated PDF, and Framemaker does not complain about any unresolved cross references. For generating OmniHelp I am pulling in a conversion template that removes the page numbers from my cross reference definitions. When generating the XHTML files for OmniHelp, mif2go displays the message 'Error while updating xrefs'. However, when I continue all cross references in the generated OmniHelp are working fine and appear as they should (that is without the page numbers), so I wonder why I get this error message.
Note: The message does not appear when I do not use the conversion template. And I also do not get the message in a similar book containing a single large file (instead of three) where all cross references are in the same file.
Error updating xrefs
This is a complaint from Frame, not from Mif2Go. It happens often during template import if you use conditional text at all; Frame can't find the ones you conditioned out and complains, even though they do not need to be updated. Other
possible problems include missing fonts.
